Habinote · Effective date: June 18, 2026
Habinote ("the App") is a personal habit-tracking application for iPhone and iPad, developed by Aqib Rasheed ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information is handled by the App, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.
The App is designed with a privacy-first approach: all habit data is stored locally on your device. Future versions of the App may include optional in-app purchases and advertising; this policy covers both the current and planned features so you always have a complete picture.
All information you enter into Habinote is stored exclusively in the App's local database on your device (Apple SwiftData). This includes:
None of this data is transmitted to us or any third party. It remains entirely within the App's private sandbox on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the App.
If you have iCloud Backup enabled on your device, iOS may include App data in your encrypted iCloud Backup. This is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to your iCloud Backup.
We do not collect, process, or store:
Habinote uses iOS local notifications to remind you to complete your habits at times you choose. All notifications are generated and scheduled entirely on your device — no notification content or scheduling data is sent to any server.
You can enable or disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings → Habinote → Notifications, or within the App's reminder settings.
Habinote includes an optional Daily Briefing feature powered by Apple Intelligence. This feature uses Apple's on-device language model (Apple FoundationModels framework) to generate a personalised morning summary based on your habits.
A future version of Habinote may offer optional in-app purchases (e.g., a premium subscription or one-time unlock) to access additional features.
All payment transactions will be processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, see, or store your credit card number, billing address, or any other payment details. Apple's handling of payment data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
To verify that a purchase is valid, the App may use Apple's StoreKit framework, which communicates with Apple's servers on your behalf. Depending on the implementation chosen, a third-party purchase-management service such as RevenueCat may also be used. If RevenueCat is integrated, it will receive a pseudonymous user ID and your purchase receipt for verification purposes only. RevenueCat's privacy practices are described in the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
We will update this policy and notify users before enabling in-app purchases.
A future version of Habinote may display advertisements served by Google AdMob (Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) for users who have not purchased a premium version.
If and when AdMob is enabled, it may collect and process the following types of information to serve relevant ads:
Before AdMob may access your device's advertising identifier for personalised ads, iOS requires us to ask for your explicit permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. You may choose to allow or deny tracking. If you deny, AdMob will still show ads but they will be non-personalised (contextual only), and your IDFA will not be used.
You can change your ATT choice at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Data collected by AdMob is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. You can review and manage Google's ad settings at adssettings.google.com.
We will update this policy, seek any required consents, and notify users before enabling advertising in the App.
No other third-party SDKs, analytics tools, crash reporters, or data brokers are used in the current version of the App.
Because all App data is stored locally on your device, you are in full control:
We do not retain any copies of your data because we never receive it.
Habinote is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions). The current version of the App does not collect any personal information from anyone. When advertising or in-app purchases are introduced, we will ensure compliance with applicable laws protecting children's privacy, including COPPA (United States) and equivalent regulations.
If you believe your child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us using the details in Section 12.
Habinote is available worldwide. Since the current version of the App does not transfer any personal data outside your device, no cross-border data transfers apply to the core app.
When AdMob or RevenueCat are introduced, data processed by those services may be transferred to and stored in the United States or other countries. Both Google and RevenueCat rely on standard contractual clauses and other appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have additional rights under the GDPR and equivalent laws, including the right to access, rectify, restrict, port, or erase data held about you, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Please contact us at the address in Section 12 to exercise these rights.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, particularly when new features such as in-app purchases or advertising are introduced. When we make material changes, we will:
Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
